The Dalí Domènech family were one of those which, in the early 20th century, liked to do portraits of each other. This is shown by the large number of photographs appearing in this book, the result of exhaustive research into the albums of family and friends of the Dalís. All these everyday images of the painter and his close circle ?family members, student colleagues, friends? together with a large amount of documental material ?early works, academic reports, magazines, catalogues and early collaborations? place us in the first twenty years of the artist and provide us with clues about how, gradually, the personality and talent were forged of who later on would be considered one of the grand masters of universal painting.
